On the way to a fulfilling life with education

Whether a child can go to school is often a question of money. Schools are often difficult to reach, especially in rural areas, and poor families find it hard to afford the cost of learning materials. Our priority is to promote the education of socially disadvantaged children in Nigeria.

The Schoolparents Foundation was founded in 1996 with the aim of helping promising children from Nnarambia in Ahiazu Mbaise LGA, Imo State, to get a secondary or university education.

The Schoolparents Foundation is inspired and motivated by the Christian faith. In line with Rebecca Nwugo's goal of ‘helping children find their way in life through education’, we believe that our mission is to uphold the dignity and worth of every young person in order to make God's love for them tangible.

With the new foundation in 2021, we are now supporting children from all over Mbaise, consisting of Aboh Mbaise, Ahiazu Mbaise and Ezinihite Mbaise LGAs, and advocating for their right to education. Together with our local partners and people like you, we are committed to helping them help themselves and create prospects for a better life. Because educated children are our chance for a positive development of society.

We are committed and you can help with your donation.

Our vision is...

... that children without any opportunities for education in this part of Nigeria will have access to education that enables them to realise their full potential and become self-determined, responsible members of their community.

The importance of education extends to all areas

Education paves the way for personal growth

Every time children learn a new skill, they develop self-confidence - and thus the opportunity to develop their individual talents.

Education is the most reliable way out of poverty

A school-leaving certificate is the basis for vocational training and a better perspective for everyone: children and their family members.

Education is changing society for the better

The "human capital" in the form of knowledge enables graduates to make a valuable contribution to society.

Our team

Meet the faces behind the important work of the Schoolparents Foundation.

The central task of this team is to implement the foundation's projects. In addition to selecting potential children, this includes finding new co-operation partners and sponsors. Another important task is to establish long-term partnerships with schools and to work closely with them to award the scholarships.
